A couple of months ago, Sikhmai was honored to receive a Malaysian Incentive Community Empowerment grant from Jabatan Pendaftaran Pertubuhan Malaysia – JPPM. Therefore, we were privileged enough to conduct 2 empowerment programs for our Single Mothers and their family members. Now that we have officially and successfully completed it, all that is left is gratitude, memories and lessons to be cherished.

Family Economic Empowerment Program - Hydroponic Plant Course
The above mentioned course was held from 24.8.22 to 25.8.22 at Dewan Muslimah Kampung Kepayang, Fair Park, Ipoh and Agrotechnology Park MARDI, Cameron Highlands.
Sukhmani Sahib Programme at Wadda Gurdwara Sahib, Ipoh
Sukhmani Sahib Programme was held at Wadda Gurdwara Sahib, Ipoh from 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m on 30th July 2022.

Sikhmai members came in full force for this programme. The Perak Chief Minister's dinner with Punjabis from the state of Perak.
Day Trip at Star Education Fair
It was a day trip, held on 25 June 2022. The purpose of this trip was to help the students choose the best pathway for their tertiary education and career in the future.

In conjunction with Mother's Day, Sikhmai had a joint celebration with the ladies from Istri Satsang Wadda Gurdwara on 28th May 2022 at Wadda Gurdwara Sahib Ipoh. It was a fun and lively affair with lots of games, lucky draws and presentations. Everyone went back happily with their door gifts and presents after enjoying the scrumptious meal.

Opening Ceremony of New Office
With the grace of the Divine, Sikhmai reached another milestone by acquiring its very own office. The opening ceremony was held in high spirits and we are thankful to everyone who made this event a success!!!

On 27 Mei 2022, Sikhmai had the honour of attending the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at UTC Perak. This event was organised by the Pejabat Pembangunan Wanita Negeri Perak. Two of our committee members, Joginder Kaur and Persan Kaur, were more than delighted to attend the function.

Wadda Gurdwara Sahib Ipoh celebrated the 50th Yaadgiri Semagam of Sant Baba Sohan Singh Ji recently. The Sri Akhand Path Sahib commenced on 6th May 2022 and the Path Da Bhog was on 8th May 2022.
